On August 4, 2024, Bridging Resources (BR) had the joy of participating in the Camper Arrival day at Camp For All. This heartwarming event marked the beginning of an exciting camp experience for many eager campers, and BR was thrilled to be part of the welcoming committee.
Setting the Stage for an Unforgettable Camp Experience
The air was filled with excitement as campers arrived at Camp For All. BR team members were on hand to greet the campers and their families, ensuring everyone felt welcomed from the moment they stepped onto the campgrounds.
Continuing the Spirit of Giving
Building on the success of our pre-camp event, BR continued to distribute camp swag bags to arriving campers. These bags, filled with camp essentials and fun items, brought smiles to the faces of both campers and volunteers alike.
We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors who made these swag bags possible:
- Angel Medical generously provided water bottles for all campers and volunteers, ensuring everyone stays hydrated during their camp activities.
- Kori Renee and her daughter Pay collected stuffed animals for all campers, adding a touch of comfort and joy to each swag bag.
Special Recognition
BR had the honor of presenting special Camp Swag bags to two key figures:
- Dr. Tim Lotze, the esteemed camp doctor
- Sami Eron, the dedicated MDA Camp Director
Their leadership and commitment to the camp’s success deserved this special acknowledgment.
A Community Effort
The event was a true community collaboration. The MDA camp director, camp doctor, campers, and volunteers all came together to create a welcoming atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Whataburger, who joined the welcoming party by distributing goody bags and bringing along Whataguy for photo opportunities with the excited campers.
The Impact
The response to our efforts was overwhelmingly positive. Campers and volunteers alike expressed their appreciation for the swag bags, setting a positive tone for the camp experience ahead. These small gestures of kindness and thoughtfulness go a long way in making campers feel special and cared for as they embark on their camp adventure.
Looking Ahead
Events like the Camper Arrival day are at the heart of what BR does. They allow us to directly impact the lives of those we serve, creating moments of joy and connection. We look forward to hearing about the amazing experiences these campers will have and how the camp will positively influence their lives.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, sponsors, and community members who made this event a success. Your support is crucial in our mission to bridge resources and create meaningful experiences for families living with neuromuscular illnesses.
