Moms & Caregivers Valentine Gathering Brings Connection and Encouragement

On February 8, Bridging Resources hosted our 1st Annual Valentine Gathering for moms and caregivers of children with Muscular Dystrophy at Body by Sarah in Houston.

This special afternoon was created to provide a space where moms could step away from daily responsibilities and connect with others who truly understand the journey of raising a child with a neuromuscular diagnosis.

A Meaningful Afternoon of Support

From 12:00–2:00 PM, attendees gathered for lunch, conversation, and encouragement in a welcoming and uplifting environment. The event was held at Body by Sarah, a studio owned by a fellow DMD mom, making the setting even more personal and meaningful.

Guests enjoyed:

  • Lunch and fellowship
  • An inspiring guest speaker
  • Raffles and door prizes
  • Special participant gifts
  • Time to connect and build supportive relationships

The afternoon also featured a special announcement from Sarah Flores, a registered Bridging Resources mom, who shared an exciting opportunity with those in attendance.

Stronger Together

Events like this remind us that no mom should have to navigate this journey alone. Creating spaces for connection, encouragement, and shared understanding is at the heart of Bridging Resources’ mission.

We are grateful to every mom and caregiver who joined us and helped make this first annual gathering such a success. We look forward to continuing this tradition and expanding opportunities for connection in the future.

Together, we continue to bridge resources, support families, and strengthen our community — one meaningful moment at a time.
